Hi, My name is Misti. In 1989, I started this riding academy, Chastain Mist. It grew quickly and soon we needed a bigger space. 

I purchased this farm in 2007, located in the picturesque South Bay area of Olympia, WA, I first saw it when I was 10 years old, and fell in love. It was at that time I vowed to one day own the farm. 

As I got to know the property, folks would pull in the driveway randomly and tell me neat stories about their history with the place. I soon understood that this farm was a place for everyone, and many in the community have a connection to it. That's when I knew it was to be shared. (As  much as the county will let me, anyway). Taking in to consideration land use laws but also  the needs of the community, especially youth,  I have planned events and programs  that will open the doors to farm life to all. Now more than ever, kids need a safe place to be outdoors, off devices and immersing themselves in nature and farm life. This is where life skills are built, and confidence and self reliance are gained. Thanks for stopping by.
